Samuel Albrecht (1990°, Bruges) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Ghent and Bruges. Trained in Audiovisual Arts at RITCS School of Arts in Brussels, his practice bridges material research and human behaviour.
On one side, he investigates the material culture of waste and overconsumption, treating discarded matter as carriers of hidden values and social patterns.
On the other, he examines how people move within tensions between individual and collective, freedom and repression, exploring how social structures shape public space.
His practice spans collage, assemblage, installation, and audiovisual work. Referencing conceptual art, Arte Povera, and ecological discourse, pop-art, Albrecht uses humor and play as tools for critique. His works invite reflection on what is overlooked, fragile, and deeply human.
